Those awesome peeps over at Do Re Me in Elsternwick have created some fabulous workshops over the time they have been open. This one caught my eye as a great exercise that is easily translatable to school class rooms.
Ask students to bring in magazines and catalogues and use the images to create lovely mixed media self portraits.
A great exercise in tearing paper (always an enjoyable task!), blending colours, glueing down, creating backgrounds, looking for appropriately sized and ‘styled’ features to use.
Looks like a lot of fun.
