An art incursion that is so unreal it is surreal!
A great fun, no fuss art incursion for grade 3, 4, 5, 6 and year 7 students.
All you have to provide is students wearing smocks, a place to paint, access to water.
I bring the paint, brushes, markers, stretched canvases and loads of inspiration.
It is a high energy, fast moving lesson where we explore the real v’s surreal landscape, lots of laughs follow a quick look at a few of my favourites from Picasso, Miro, Dali et al. as we observe surreal craziness at its best, get a quick lesson on brush etiquette and then it is go-go-go until the end.
Students take their 30x30cm stretched canvas, their pencil, marker pen, thick and thin brushes and have around 40 minutes to get busy creating their surreal canvas art.
A high energy, fast paced class that sees students complete a vibrant artwork in around 45-60 minutes (depending on your school’s scheduled times) with a crazy kooky name and a back story.
